1. What is the meaning of NAAC Accreditation?
A) National Assessment and Accreditation Council is autonomous body established by UGC of India, to assess and accredit institution of higher education in the country. The quality criteria include the curricular aspects;
- Teaching Learning and Evaluation
- Research consultancy and Extension
- Infrastructure and learning recourses
- Students support and progression
- Governance, Leadership and Management
- Innovation and Best Practices.
2.What is the meaning of NBA Accreditation?
A) The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India was initially established by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) under section 10(u) of AICTE act, in the year 1994, for periodic evaluations of technical institutions & programs basis according to specified norms and standards as recommended by AICTE council. NBA in its present form came into existence as an autonomous body with effect from 7th January 2010, with the objective of Assurance of Quality and Relevance of Education, especially of the programs in professional and technical disciplines, i.e., Engineering and Technology, Management, through the mechanism of accreditation of programs offered by technical institutions.
3.Is there any management quota?
A) Yes cat B consists of 15% , NRI Quota and 15 % management Quota
4.Which branch in Engineering would have the best scope?
A) All Engineering branches have an equally good scope. Much depends on your passion for the program and your endeavor to excel.
5.Do you think the curriculum of the courses taught in your institute Fits in the requirement of the industry?
A)Yes the curriculum of the courses taught in our institute fits in the requirement of the industry. The syllabus of different courses is reviewed timely by the university and is modified as per industry requirement.
6) Is there any hostel accommodation facility?
A) Yes Lingayas provides completely hygienic separate’ boys’ and girls’ hostel accommodation with all standard civic amenities.
7) What are the programmes being offered at LIMAT?
A) The Institute offers regular Under Graduate (B.Tech.) & Post Graduate (MTech.) programmes in engineering, and Post Graduate (MBA) programme in management disciplines. The duration of UG programme is 4 years and PG programme is 2 years.
